Bath Woes

I'm also continuing to work on the master bath.

We tend to like more traditional decor, with a bit of whimsy thrown in!
By whimsy, I mean a bit of shabby chic, farmhouse and comfy family furnishings scattered about----just for good measure and to decrease any stuffiness inherent in a more traditional style.

We also want to try to have a vintage-y farmshouse true to the style of the house exterior.

Does this make sense?  Well, anyhow, searching around the web, I found some 1920 bath designs!

I like the simplicity of this pink bath, the mirrors and the shower curtain:

 A bathroom that's a sunroom!  Note the shower curtain/valence:

Again, the bath below (called "Plain Jane"---I resent that!) is quite simple.  Love the mirror!
(Especially since it looks like my mirror!)

Remember my mirror?

And that I found a mirror on Ebay that matched up beautifully?

Well, this is the way the mirror arrived:

I had to truck this mess down to the Post Office so that they could appropriate the remaining mirror-less medicine cabinet and turn in a claim.  Yes, they took the cabinet!  What in the world is the U.S. Post Office going to do with a medicine cabinet?

Anyhooooo.  I don't have another mirror for Dearest Husband.  :(

But that hasn't stopped me from working on the master bath!  I decided to paint the cabinets.  The light creamy white has turned all yellowish.  Ugh.

See all the dings?  And this photo came out all funny--the cabinets
really are a sickly yellowish white.

So, after perusing the web and reading of other's experiences, we settled on using Rustoleum's Cabinet Transformation Kit.  It's been quite an adventure....more to come!
